 iBook-User Report:

RE:Active's iStrap coming soon!

Press release :

"-- The wait is almost over, new accessory gives iBook owners another convenient (and cool) way to carry their iBook --

For Immediate Release, November 19, 1999 -- RE:Active today announced pricing and that it will taking orders for the iStrap.

The web site, istrap.com, has been updated to include a new 'pre-order' page and form where interested buyers can submit their email address. Those that register will be sent a special URL that will take them directly to the iStrap order page when RE:Active begins taking orders. Those who get the 'invitation' email will be the first to be able to order the iStrap. The purchase information will not be available from the main page until two weeks later. (*Dec 3)

"We know that Mac users like to be the first to have the hard-to-get, cool items. So we figured we would provide all of the people that have expressed interest in the iStrap from the beginning the first shot at this cool accessory before we made it available." said Ron Myers, Marketing Director for RE:Active.

Due to the iBook's rugged construction, built-in handle. and exciting industrial design we feel that the iBook is the first laptop that people may consider taking with them without using a conventional laptop case. The iStrap provides a quick and alternative way to carry the iBook.

For more information please visit the iStrap web site at: http://www.istrap.com

iStrap is a trademark of RE:Active. Apple is a registered trademark of Apple Computer, Inc. iBook is a trademark of Apple Computer, Inc. Additional company and product names may be trademarks or registered trademarks of the individual companies and are respectfully acknowledged."

According to RE:Active they should be taking orders in approximately 2 weeks.

RE:Active plans to sell the iStrap at an "introductory price" of $29.95 plus $4.50 shipping and handling.

Funny I thought it was going to sell originally for 14.95

For now they are offering the iStrap in Black only. : ( RE:Active plans on offering other colors in the First Q1 of 2000, Hopefully in Blueberry and Tangerine ! Afterall Blueberry's the color they show on their web site !

* We added this in, 2 weeks from 11/19 is Dec 3.
